Several organizations including the FCC, USDA and US Department of Commerce are offering multiple funding lines to support broadband expansion. The American Rescue Plan (ARP) provides a total of $360 billion to be used for necessary investments in water, sewer and broadband infrastructure.
The UM Broadband Initiative team has created resources to help communities navigate and apply for available funding. A new FAQ section and detailed funding navigator are now available on the Missouri Broadband Resource Rail to help communities support broadband development and expansion in their communities.
The University of Missouri System's Broadband Initiative team will host a Bringing Broadband to Missouri webinar on June 23 to share new tools available that support communities in increasing their access to high-speed internet.
